Within the Security Industry there are two different types of Security Consultants: Security Product Sales Consultants that are tied to the sale of security components and Security Consultants that help develop security requirements (admin/physical design) based on stakeholders needs.
Security Product Sales Consultants normally sell products that are commission/profit driven. These products ‘often’ do not help clients meet all their security goals and leave organizational assets vulnerable to threats (increasing organizational risk).
